A beautiful sculpture in white Carrara marble with a solid wood base. The work is by Émiel Kiemlen, a German sculptor. The two children depicted are the descendants of Johannes Ficker, who served as rector of the University of Strasbourg and professor of church history. The statue once adorned the Villa Ficker in Strasbourg, a historic building that now houses the Notre-Dame de Sion School.
