Beautiful Solid 800-silver Miniature Photo Frame In The Louis XV Style, Late 19th Century.
This beautiful little photo frame, dating from the late 19th or very early 20th century, is in very good condition, with just a few minor signs of age. It comes complete with its original glass.
Four hallmarks are present on the side, including 800 and the weevil mark (indicating sterling silver).
Note: The back features two small tabs for closing. Although a third tab would have provided perfect symmetry and an ideal fit, this two-tab design is 100% original, functional, and very common on this type of small, circular antique silverware.
