A painter of genre scenes, portraits, and landscapes, as well as a pastel artist, Jules Octave Triquet was a student of Tony Robert-Fleury and William Bouguereau. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français as well as at the Salon de l’Union Artistique between 1886 and 1914.
