The central decoration features an abundance of flowers, fruits, and vegetables, forming a rich and expansive representation of the botanical world. Among the identifiable elements are pomegranates, grapes, Buddha’s hand citrons, a bouquet of carrots, turnips, and peonies.

The arrangement of flowers, fruits and vegetables is reminiscent of the so-called “Cornucopia” design (see Christie’s, New York, Chinese Export Art Featuring the Hodroff Collection, Part IV, lot 355), in which European flowers emerge from a horn of plenty.
