Rare "porte Louis d'Or" Made Of 18-karat Gold
A very rare 18-karat gold "Porte Louis d'Or," late 19th–early 20th century. All components are hallmarked. The trays and the body are hallmarked with the head of a Greek physician (1838–1919); only the bail is hallmarked with an eagle’s head.
There are a few small dents to note. It closes properly, but once closed, the parts do not fit together perfectly.
The trays come in two sizes to hold 10- and 20-franc gold coins.
