It is made of square bronze with a double gadrooned band interspersed with crossed ribbons and topped by a Louis XVI-style pleated ribbon bow intertwined with laurel leaves; its mat is absolutely superb, made of painted porcelain depicting cherubs and flowers against a sky-blue background.
