Antique Panel With Gold Background, Depicting The Risen Christ; Tabernacle Door Or Ciborium.

The work in question is an antique tabernacle (or ciborium) door made of wood painted on a gold background, dating approximately to the 17th century.
The small door features a characteristic arched shape (curved at the top) and was originally designed to close the Eucharistic tabernacle on the altar. On the left side, the original hole that housed the lock is clearly visible.
The Risen Christ is depicted standing with his gaze turned upward.
With his left hand, he holds the typical cross-shaped banner (a symbol of triumph over death), while his body is partially draped in dynamic, bright red folds of fabric.
Background: The background features gold leaf gilding, an essential decorative element in Baroque sacred art designed to reflect the light of the church and evoke the divine dimension.
The painting is in good condition but shows signs of age.
