Watercolor Of An Exotic Landscape: The Valley Of The Caliphs—a View Of Cairo

This watercolor depicts the Valley of the Caliphs with a view of Cairo. This landscape was painted by hand; the brushstrokes are meticulous and delicate, and the colors are vivid, with a play of light and shadow that is skillfully rendered.

This small watercolor is set in its original gilded baguette frame; the frame has a beautiful patina, and the Marie-Louise mat is pale green. We examined the work for a signature, but this watercolor is unsigned. This piece likely dates from the 1950s or 1960s.

The watercolor is in perfect condition, and its colors are vivid. The frame is the original one and has a beautiful patina developed over time. Please note that the protective glass is missing.
