Bronze Equestrian Figure Of An Amazon, After Paul Troubetzkoy

Bronze Equestrian Figure *Amazone* after Paul Troubetzkoy.

A beautiful bronze equestrian sculpture based on a model by Paul Troubetzkoy, titled *Amazone*, depicting Miss Ada Nathan Berra seated on horseback. The rider is depicted in an elegant, upright pose, wearing a hat and riding attire, while the horse stands calmly with its head slightly lowered.

The work reflects Troubetzkoy’s characteristic Impressionist style, with a lively, uneven surface, expressive forms, and a strong sense of movement despite the restrained pose. The bronze has a dark patina with lighter areas on the raised surfaces, due to age and wear.

The sculpture is signed on the base. This example is described as based on a model by Paul Troubetzkoy; the exact date of casting and the foundry are not confirmed.
