Neoclassical mirror in carved wood, partially lacquered and gilded, Lombardy, last quarter of the 18th century. Medallion-shaped cornice with a “knot of love” at the top—formed from a ribbon and held in place by a bow—and richly carved floral festoons; gilded moldings; mercury mirror. The upper part is adorned with a trellis motif enriched with gilded foliage elements, attributable to the iconographic repertoire of Giocondo Albertolli (Bedano 1742–Milan 1839), a Swiss-Italian architect, decorator, and professor.
