Paul Bonnaud (1873–1953) was one of the leading Limoges enamel artists of the early 20th century. A gold medalist at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair, he played an active role in the revival of Limoges enamel by incorporating into his compositions the fluid lines, stylized plant motifs, and contrasting colors characteristic of Art Nouveau. His body of work includes painted plaques, portraits of women, landscapes, jewelry, and sculptural pieces, generally signed “P. Bonnaud Limoges.” His creations are now held in several public collections in France and abroad.
