Born in 1620 in Haarlem and died in 1680 in Amsterdam. Artistic style: Baroque. Active during the 17th century. His works are featured at the Louvre Museum and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Valenciennes. A student of Adrien Van De Velde. Son of the still-life painter Pieter Claesz.
