Marcel Basler (1917–1990) was a French painter. Until the late 1960s, Marcel Basler’s work was primarily figurative and was expressed through gouaches, watercolors, and oil paintings.
Starting in the 1970s, turning away from the style that had been his own until then and had opened many doors for him, he turned exclusively to abstract art, and this final period of his life was marked by tormented works.
