This 17th-century engraving by Gérard Audran (1640–1703) is in fair but not perfect condition. Please note that there are pinholes and foxing spots in the margin.
There is a preparatory drawing by Constant Vignier on the reverse.
Gérard Audran (1640–1703) was a French engraver and draftsman. He was appointed a member of the Royal Academy of Painting in 1674 before being granted the title of Counselor of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1681. He was one of the leading interpretive engravers of the reign of Louis XIV.
