An interesting Post-Impressionist oil on panel from around 1930 or 1940.
The composition is original and the technique is very skillful.
A beautiful view beneath the house opens up onto a landscape animated by figures.
Beyond that lies an inlet and then a village.
The paint is carefully applied, highlighting the stone of the house.
Lovely light and a beautiful atmosphere. A success.
There is a signature in the lower right corner that I cannot decipher.
However, this can only be the work of a talented artist.
Very good condition.
