Porcelain Bowl Or Planter Louis XV Style. Polychrome Floral Decoration. Late 19th Century

This cup is a high-quality piece from the late 19th century, inspired by Louis XV designs.

The hand-painted floral decoration is dominated in the center by a large bouquet of blue tulips, in the style of 18th-century Meissen pieces.

This lovely multi-lobed design features ribbed borders along the upper rim and at the lower section above the feet.

The openwork handles on either side are reminiscent of 18th-century Louis XV-style serving dishes.

The rim is adorned with a brown-and-gold rocaille frieze that subtly highlights the piece’s dynamic contours.

The gilding is in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. A few small firing marks consistent with late 19th-century production.

Polychrome floral “semis” decoration on the interior and exterior.

This piece of porcelain can be used as a planter, a chiller, or a table centerpiece, but also as a trinket dish or to serve a refined dish.

In very good condition. No hairline cracks, cracks, chips, or missing pieces.
