Bronze with a beautiful brown patina.
By Gustave Dussart, a student of Jean-Léon
Gérôme; exhibited at the Salon des Artistes
Français beginning in 1899 and received
an honorable mention there in 1909.
He participated in the Salons in Paris, Lyon, and Lille.
In 1897, he created a bust of Buffalo Bill, now housed
at the Musée du Nouveau Monde in La Rochelle.
On a circular pedestal of veined green marble.
Titled *La Danseuse* in a cartouche and
*Dussart Salon Paris-Artistes Français*.
Late 19th–early 20th century work.
Signed “Dussart” on the pedestal.
