Pair Of Barbotine Caryatids
Galerie Georgette Art Nouveau presents an exceptional pair of barbotine caryatids. The two female figures support a vase that can optionally hold light fixtures. The lower portion of the sculptures is adorned with barbotine flowers. The faces and bodies of both figures are very finely sculpted in shades of beige and orange. These caryatids come from a bourgeois home in northern France. Very rare on the market, in very good condition despite a few minor, repairable chips, and of a beautiful size: 96 cm.
