Antique Engraved Crystal Liqueur Bottle, Circa 1920–1940
Antique liqueur bottle made of lightweight crystal, engraved with a rotina pattern; small in size, with a capacity of approximately 500 cl.
The slightly rounded body is adorned with a rich design of intertwining patterns and delicate scrolls that encircle the central section.
The narrow neck harmoniously extends from the body and accommodates its original hollow crystal stopper, which is slightly bulbous in shape and fits the neck perfectly.
Period: 1920–1940, a transitional period between Belle Époque designs and the more minimalist forms of Art Deco.
Probable provenance: The type of engraving and the shape of the bottle suggest a Western European origin, where numerous crystal manufacturers produced engraved liqueur sets intended for the middle-class market. In the absence of marks or hallmarks, the attribution remains tentative; however, the craftsmanship appears to be that of a workshop specializing in high-quality wheel-engraved crystal.
Excellent condition: no cracks or chips; decoration is sharp and shows little wear; original stopper fits securely.Minimal signs of use, consistent with the object’s age.
