Hermes Attributes: Bronze Saddle Trophy Featuring Caduceus And A Helmet
A remarkable wall-mounted harness trophy bearing the attributes of Hermes, the rod entwined by two snakes is the attribute of Mercury,made of patinated bronze and consisting of two crossed and knotted caduceuses surmounted by a winged helmet.
Though not immediately obvious, this trophy has the advantage of being usable as a wall-mounted shelf. A glass panel, marble base, or other support could be placed on top to display objects, as there are flat surfaces above the wings and the helmet. A painting, a mirror, a sign, etc., could also be mounted on it.
