Set of eight gold-plated glass buttons from the Bimini factory in the United Kingdom. Each button is stamped with a lion’s head in profile, inspired by a Greek coin. On the reverse side of one of them is the inscription “Made in England,” along with a small flowerpot (the Bimini trademark).

Fritz Lampl founded the Bimini Glassworks in 1923 in Austria; he was forced to relocate his company to London in 1930, where he reorganized his glass business.

He produced a wide variety of glass objects, including intricately crafted buttons that were highly sought after by designers of the time.

Period: circa 1930–1940.

Condition: Perfect condition, very slight wear on the gold plating (see photos).
