Chinese Vase, Famille Rose
An elegant vase with a baluster-shaped lid featuring beveled sides (octagonal), made of glazed porcelain in the characteristic color palette of the Famille Rose. The faceted body is richly decorated with bouquets of pink peonies and blue and yellow chrysanthemums on a white background, alternating with panels featuring a red checkered background pattern, framed by gold fillets. A polychrome butterfly also adorns one of the sides. The matching lid features a similar floral design on a white background, a pink geometric frieze along the edge, and is topped with a conical handle with a gilded tip.
