A particularly attractive mid-19th-century French radassier (ladder-back bench), handcrafted from solid walnut with a thick rush seat, made in Provence near Avignon circa 1850.
This double-armed Provençal bench comfortably seats three and features an elegant ladder-back design, combining simplicity with refined rustic charm. The original patina on the walnut and the intact, beautifully aged thick rush seat give the piece great character, while it remains in good, solid condition throughout. Of very good quality and an excellent, practical size, it makes a real statement in any room. Perfect for an entryway or mudroom, along a kitchen wall, at the foot of a bed, or as a distinctive dining bench beside a table. Seat height is 41 cm.
