A very beautiful oil painting on canvas measuring 66 cm x 82 cm, plus a wooden frame measuring 80 cm x 96 cm
"Martigues," signed "HURARD" in the lower right corner
Joseph Hurard, born in 1887 in Avignon, died in Martigues in 1957
A student of Pierre GRIVOLAS, he exhibited numerous landscapes—particularly of Martigues and Avignon—at the Salon des Indépendants from 1908 to 1914.
This painting is very interesting because it differs from his usual views
I note a few cracks in the sky (my restorer is on vacation) and it’s a bit dirty.
If I haven’t sold it by the end of August, I’ll have it restored in the fall so I can sell it for a slightly higher price, as it’s truly beautiful.
