Pair Of Chinoiserie-style Linen Cupboards (or Wardrobes), 19th Century

An exceptionally rare pair of 19th-century “Chinoiserie”-style linen cabinets, finished in black lacquer and adorned with hand-painted Oriental scenes accented with gold, depicting pagodas, landscapes, pavilions, and figures.

Each cabinet features a large mirrored door, a drawer at the bottom, and an interior rod for hanging clothes. Their elegant proportions and lacquered decoration make them ideal pieces for a bedroom, a walk-in closet, or a high-end interior design project.

The original mirrors show signs of wear and pitting due to age, giving the glass a beautiful antique character. The lacquered surfaces show signs of wear consistent with their age and use.
