Georges Tigien - Pair Of Armchairs
Artist: Georges Tigien
- A typical creation by French designer Georges Tigien, this pair of armchairs is made of stained beech wood with a scoubidou weave. (Or made of Prenas threads. Prenas is the name of the French plastic manufacturer. Prenas thread is “non-deformable and imperishable.”)
- Each armchair was restored by a cabinetmaker; the scoubidou seat was reupholstered (see photo), and one chair had two legs, both of which were restored. Both armchairs are now in very good condition.
- The foam seats have been reupholstered with a contemporary fabric similar to the original.
- A typical example of French furniture from the 1950s and 1960s.
- Elegant and functional.
- The price listed is for the pair.
