Emile Gallé - Rare Table With Two Inlaid Tops
Émile Gallé (1846–1904) – Rare table with two inlaid tops, École de Nancy
Elegant table with two finely inlaid walnut tops, Émile Gallé. Both tabletops feature remarkable polychrome marquetry depicting scenes inspired by Victor Hugo’s *Les Misérables*: figures in procession, a horseman, beggars, and plant motifs, all executed with great finesse. The tops are joined by turned columns and rest on a dynamic base, characteristic of the School of Nancy’s designs. A rare piece, combining technical virtuosity and rich iconography, in excellent condition.
