Exquisite Louis XVI-era Mahogany and Mahogany-Veneered Display Cabinet, Resting on Tapered Legs.
This display cabinet opens via a wide bottom drawer and two glass-paned doors on the front, framed by gilded bronze moldings. These reveal three interior shelves with a rack-and-pinion system. Its rounded side panels feature fluted grooves and are embellished with gilded bronze in an asparagus motif. It is topped with a superb slab of veined white marble with softened corners. Beautiful gilded and chiseled bronze ornamentation, including lock plates, pull handles, framing moldings, and finials. Comes with its original keys. Fine mahogany wood, with a beautiful patina.
