Harness, Louis XIII-style Torch Holder

This is a small, freestanding piece of furniture.
These stands were easily moved and used to hold lights, torches, candlesticks, or candelabras; they would later be called “torch holders.”
This stand consists of a twisted central column with a knot in the center; at each end is a turned and molded shelf.
The entire piece rests on three small, ball-shaped turned feet.
In good overall condition, it has retained its beautiful original patina.
