19th-century Fan-shaped Dressing Table, In The 18th-century Style, Louis XV Style
An elegant 19th-century fan-shaped dressing table, crafted in the style of 18th-century Louis XV furniture. It rests on three curved legs and is entirely veneered with beautiful rosewood and violetwood marquetry, arranged in a scroll pattern and accented with fine fillets.
The top opens with a gilt-bronze push button, revealing an antique beveled mirror as well as a compartmentalized interior that retains its original floral-patterned fabric lining. The steel hinges and hardware, finely cut and chiseled, evoke the craftsmanship of the Mailfert workshops, lending the piece an added touch of elegance.
This table has undergone a traditional restoration using a buffed varnish, which has developed a patina and is in very good condition, highlighting the nuances of the precious woods. The mirror has a light patina consistent with its age.
An elegant, refined, and rare boudoir piece, ideal for complementing a classic interior.
