Marquetry Serving Cart, 20th Century
An elegant serving cart made of precious wood with inlay work, crafted in the second half of the 20th century. This piece captivates with its rich veneer, combining elm burl, rosewood, and delicate floral inlays, reflecting meticulous cabinetmaking craftsmanship.
The upper shelf features two folding flaps that allow the table to be transformed into a circular tray with a diameter of 76 cm. The lower shelf, also inlaid, is equipped with compartments designed to hold bottles and glasses. The piece rests on turned legs, two large brass wheels, and a wooden handle with a brass mount, ensuring excellent mobility.
This serving table combines elegance and functionality. It will naturally fit into a classic, English, or eclectic interior, serving as a bar cabinet, side table, or serving cart.
In very good condition, with a patina and slight signs of wear consistent with its age.
