Edouard ADAM, born on April 2, 1847, in Brie-Comte-Robert, and died on February 10, 1929, in Le Havre, was a French marine painter.
A student of Jean-Baptiste Henri Durand-Brager, he moved to Le Havre around 1873 to paint portraits of ships. The Bordes Company, also known as the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, commissioned him to paint portraits of all the ships in their fleet. In 1885, he joined the corps of official naval painters.
