Art Deco Green Crystal Perfume Bottle – Cap Carved With Doves – Filigree Mount
A rare and elegant Art Deco-style perfume bottle, featuring a refined combination of molded crystal, a filigree brass frame, and a remarkable sculpted stopper.
The bottle’s body, crafted from bohemian crystal tinted a delicate aqua green, features a geometric cut characteristic of the 1925–1935 period. It is adorned with a sumptuous openwork metal setting, set with turquoise cabochons that lend it a precious quality and an Orientalist charm that was very much in vogue during that period.
The true highlight of this piece lies in its spectacular, finely carved frosted crystal stopper. It depicts a couple, likely in the midst of a marriage proposal, with two doves facing each other below. The scene is set beneath a garland of roses, a timeless symbol of love, fidelity and peace.
The quality of the carving, with its smooth lines and intricate relief, is a testament to exceptionally meticulous craftsmanship. Beneath the neck of the bottle is a ring-shaped band. The piece is deeply romantic, delicate and spectacular in its grace and beauty.
Serving as both a toiletries item and a decorative piece, this bottle will appeal to Art Deco enthusiasts, perfume bottle collectors, and lovers of art glass. It will naturally find its place in a collector’s display case or a cabinet of curiosities.
It could also be the perfect setting for an extremely romantic marriage proposal.
