An elegant pair of small Louis XV-style side tables or nightstands, made in the 20th century from precious wood veneer with geometric marquetry decoration on the tops and all four sides.

Each piece features a waist-level drawer fitted with a chiseled bronze handle. The scroll-cut fronts are richly adorned with sconces, lock plates, drop handles, and bronze feet, elegantly highlighting the furniture’s curved lines. The curved legs, typical of the Louis XV style, lend the pieces a sense of finesse and lightness.

The veneer work displays a beautiful grain in warm tones, enhanced by a meticulous patina. The pieces are fully veneered on all sides, allowing them to be displayed in the center of a room or as end tables, nightstands, or small decorative consoles. The Louis XV style is particularly distinguished by its curved lines, its sculpted legs, and the use of refined decorative bronze fittings.
