Japanese Gold-lacquered Incense Box - Kogo
This square-shaped box, made of kinji gold lacquer, features decorations on all sides, including chrysanthemum (kiku) flowers in mother-of-pearl, mountains, and birds. The base is made of nashiji lacquer. The band around the box is made of shibuichi.
