Stained Glass - Stained-glass Windows - Young Woman In The Countryside
In an idyllic landscape, a young woman holding a basket and a wreath of flowers in her hands walks past a watering hole surrounded by goats and sheep.
This stained-glass window was created in 1922 by the painter Gaston Avril in the Gaëtan Jeannin workshops in Billancourt.
It consists of rectangles of plain, colorless glass, painted in grisaille and silver yellow. These rectangles were fired at a high temperature and then assembled with lead; the border is painted on cathedral glass. The wooden frame is original.
