Late 18th-century Consulate-period Commode
A very elegant chest of drawers in light mahogany, with four drawers and two freestanding columns.It is adorned with high-quality bronze fittings and features a beautiful black marble top. This piece dates back to the 18th century, as evidenced by the woodwork and the locks. It is at the forefront of the Empire style; this was the era of the Consulate, when a certain General Napoleon would go on to launch the Empire style.
