Meissen porcelain figurine of a Malabar woman playing the hurdy-gurdy. Model created by Friedrich Elias Meyer in 1751 for the “Foreign Peoples” theme. Marked with blue crossed swords and numbered 67036, 20th century. In very good condition, with a small chip in one leaf and another leaf that has been trimmed. This figurine forms a pair with a Malabar man. Listed in the Meissen-Bergmann catalog
