Late 19th-century triptych table screen.
Romantic scenes in the 18th-century style featuring a hurdy-gurdy player, a courtly couple, and a harlequin with a mandolin,
set against a backdrop of a bucolic landscape and a body of water.
Dimensions: 76 cm x 61.5 cm
Composed of three oil-on-canvas panels held together by hinges, the set stands on its own
and has a slightly curved/closed shape that enhances its intimate atmosphere.
It can be placed as a decorative piece on the back of a dresser top,
or as a divider on a vanity, for example.
The painting has been recently cleaned, and the colors stand out beautifully.
Two minor restorations on the back + an imperceptible hole on one panel; see details in the photos.
A particularly decorative set; I haven’t seen anything like it online.
