Blasco MENTOR, born in 1918 in Barcelona
Encouraged by his father, he studied drawing at a private school and took classes at the École Centrale des Beaux-Arts. In 1936, he sided with the Republic and went into exile in France, joining the Resistance during the war.
He later settled in Solliès Toucas in the Var region. He held numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. His baroque compositions, which feature women, circus scenes, fairground scenes, and bullfighting, were the key to his success.
