A significant Louis XV-style flat desk richly adorned with gilded bronze.
The ornate front features three large drawers.
The top features three sections upholstered in beige leather with a fine embossed pattern, framed by precious wood with scrollwork and marquetry.
The quality of the ornamentation is remarkable: finials featuring female busts at the corners, clogs, drawer frames, drop handles, and a finely chiseled and gilded ingot mold.
The curved legs end in bronze clogs.
The back is also intricately carved, allowing the piece to be displayed in the center of a room.
The overall design, the abundance of bronze elements, and the quality of the wood are reminiscent of prestigious Parisian pieces from the late 19th or early 20th century, in the style of the great 18th-century cabinetmakers.
