A Large Louis XV-style Lacquered Wooden Chest Of Drawers.
A beautiful, highly decorative chest of drawers with a so-called “crossbow” front. The top is made of lacquered wood with a breccia marble finish. The body is lacquered black and embellished with substantial chiseled and gilded bronze fittings. This chest of drawers was made in the mid-19th century based on a design by Jean-François Hache. Some wear to the lacquer is visible in the photos.
