A very beautiful small "crossbow-style" chest of drawers made of walnut.
It features two drawers, the fronts of which are accented by an elegant crossbow-shaped design.
It rests on two front legs with a beautiful curved line, known as “biche” legs, and two straight rear legs.
It exemplifies the elegance of the work produced by cabinetmakers in Aix.
The beautiful walnut of this piece is subtly highlighted by cartouches outlined with a simple boxwood border around the iron handles.
In perfect condition.
Aix-en-Provence, first half of the 18th century.
