Massue Stool By Charlotte Perriand, 1970s
Artist: Charlotte Perriand
Rare four-legged "Massue" stool by Charlotte Perriand, France, 1970s. Usually made with three legs, this unique version was crafted on commission for a client. Its thick, circular seat rests on four slightly flared cylindrical legs, giving the stool great stability. The wood grain, highlighted by its original honey-colored patina, gives it a warm and natural character. Understated and sturdy, this stool exemplifies the utilitarian and authentic aesthetic of mountain furniture and the modernist interiors of the era.It shows signs of use and a beautiful patina of age.
