Art Nouveau Vase From Argental St Louisby Paul Nicolas Decorated With A Mountain Lake And Boats

A large multilayered glass vase. A rare piece, finely and deeply acid-etched in cameo style with a continuous design of a lake, forest, and mountains in the background against a slightly pinkish satin finish. The lake, depicted by a layer of green-colored glass, is brought to life by two fishermen in a rowboat. A second rowboat waits near the shore.

Fully decorated: the design wraps continuously around the vase without interruption.

Very high-quality engraving, both fine and deep.

Argental signature in fine cameo, accompanied by the Cross of Lorraine, indicating a creation by Paul Nicolas in his Nancy workshop.

Height: 35 cm
