Charles Pollaci was a figurative painter and lithographer born in Nice on October 19, 1907, and died in Quetteville on June 29, 1988. In his youth, he lefthis hometown of Nice for the capital, where, inMontmartre, he attended the Académie Frochot and received guidancefrom André-François Breuillaud and Paul Mascart.
He lived in a small house in Houilles and was affiliated with the École de Pontoise—where he is considered the leading figure—until 1960, after which he settled in Honfleur.
Charles Pollaci died in 1988 in Honfleur and is buried in the Sainte-Catherine Cemetery in Honfleur.
