Description:

This important Louis XV period cage-form chandelier, dating from around 1760, exemplifies the elegance and refinement of 18th-century French decorative arts. Crafted in gilt bronze in its original gilding, it features a rich and intricate design: a central cut-crystal dagger, eight peripheral daggers at the lower section, four at the upper section, along with large plaques, stars, and rosettes in cut crystal. The piece is crowned by a beautiful cut-crystal ball, while eight candle arms arranged around the perimeter provide a beautiful lighting.

Château Nîmois. Museum-quality, this chandelier combines rarity and refinement, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of 18th-century artisans.


Condition:

Very good. Cleaned, with its original gilding preserved. Equipped with electrified opaline candle sockets compliant with European standards (compatible with American standards via adapter upon request).
