Sculpture from around 1820 depicting a reclining greyhound in gilded bronze (ground gold / original mercury gilding).
The animal is rendered with great anatomical precision and wears a finely chiseled collar. It rests on a double stepped base, adorned with a beautiful frieze of water leaves typical of the decorative repertoire of the late Empire / Restoration period.
