Antique Russian Gardner Porcelain Cup And Saucer “olive & Gold”, Late 19th Century
Antique Russian Gardner Porcelain Cup and Saucer “Olive & Gold”, Late 19th Century.
A refined and understated example of Imperial-era Russian porcelain from the Gardner Factory in Verbilki. The set features a sophisticated olive-green and gold design, with a dark olive-toned band contrasting elegantly with the fine white porcelain.
The main decoration consists of a deep olive-green border overlaid with a continuous gilded geometric pattern. Below the band is a delicate hanging gold-filigree lace motif. The cup has a clean, slightly flared silhouette and a graceful handle.
The base of both pieces bears a red Gardner factory mark with the Imperial Double-Headed Eagle and St. George the Victorious.
