The front features an elegant décor of molded panels with moving reserves, framed by turned uprights in the spirit of Louis XIII. The opening lid reveals a large storage space, typical of wedding chests or country house chests.
The fully pegged construction and panelled back bear witness to old-fashioned traditional craftsmanship. The sober, balanced lines, combined with the beautiful brown patina of the oak, give this piece lots of character and authenticity.
